Retirement Strategies for Small Business Owners
Bill graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Through a partnership with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., he leverages his background in finance, teaching, and communication to support the Wernick Spear Wealth Management team. Bill specializes in retirement plan sales and sales support, providing advisors, clients, and CPAs with the guidance, strategies, and resources they need to deliver strong, compliant retirement solutions to their clients.
Bill holds the FINRA Series 7 license and maintains multiple advanced industry credentials through the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, including the QPA, QKA, QKC, QPFC and TGPC. Prior to joining Cambridge and the Wernick Spear team, he spent several years overseeing all aspects of sales for a third party administration firm, and before that, he spent more than two decades at another broker-dealer firm, handling all things related to retirement plan sales.
Outside of his professional work, Bill is married and enjoys spending time with his family, staying active through regular workouts, and following baseball, basketball, and football. During the winter months, he also moonlights as a basketball official, having spent the past 23 years working high school games. Earlier in his officiating career, Bill refereed college basketball within the NAIA, further deepening his long-standing connection to the game.
